The remarkable Duomo dominates the city’s skyline.<\/p>\n

Piazza della Signoria <\/strong><\/p>\n

The beautiful piazza contains the Uffizi Gallery famous for its masterpieces by artists such as Giotto, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio, just to name a few.<\/p>\n

Santa Croce<\/h4>\n

The Basilica where Galileo, Dante, and Michelangelo among others are buried.<\/p>\n

Piazza San Lorenzo<\/h4>\n

Displays a beautiful basilica, atmospheric palazzos, with interior courtyards glimpsed through ancient wooden gates, and the especially bustling central market – the place to find bargain in the leather goods.<\/p>\n

Pitti Palace<\/h4>\n

The Palace is one of the most visited sites on the southern bank of Arno. The famous Boboli Gardens are located behind the Palace.<\/p>\n

Ponte Vecchio<\/h4>\n

The world-famous \u201cold\u201d bridge across Arno (it was constructed during the Roman times) is now home to the countless jewelry stores.<\/p>\n

Galleria dell’Accademia<\/h4>\n

A small museum contains the original statue \u201cDavid\u201d by Michelangelo. Note that you can no longer take photos of Michelangelo’s famed statue of “David” for security reasons, but you can purchase postcards and the book on the Accademia in the souvenir shop.<\/p>\n
