There are plenty of excuses for our ignorance, but who cares? We have finally arrived to the beautiful, vibrant, delicious, historical, and yet modern CDMX! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve visited CDMX twice already during the last couple of years and anticipate more adventures here in the near future! This brief &#8220;guide&#8221; is for the newcomers, who want to experience the highlights. One can easily spend more time to visit many other attractions in CDMX and beyond. Let&#8217;s just start here and let&#8217;s go to CDMX!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the name of an attraction to see the map and other information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1 &#8211; Zocalo (the downtown area) <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/5q58gdFXBdCFXHVc7\">The Cathedral<\/a> and a large main square in front of it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/63VLXqMQh5tdgGVD7\">Templo Mayor de M\u00e9xico<\/a> &#8211; The Main Temple in the capital of the mighty Aztec empire, was the place where the most important ritual and ceremonial activities in Aztec life took place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/MUitcubd9io6dAfz6\">Pedestrian shopping streets<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/qZzqbXi6SHHtaQTbA\">Sanborns <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/qZzqbXi6SHHtaQTbA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Madero<\/a> Department Store (lunch \/ visit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/1xZryV5hXnL2pSGS8\">Palacio de Bellas Artes<\/a> (performance hall \/ museum featuring murals by Diego Rivera &amp; other artists)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/Diego Rivera Mural Museum\">Diego Rivera Mural Museum<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 2 &#8211; Day trip to Teotihuacan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teotihuacan Pyramids &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/2JJQGwnjUzMo3JYt6\">The Pyramid of the Sun<\/a> is the second largest in Mesoamerica and the 3rd largest pyramid in the world. Note: the archeological area is very large, there is lots of walking, but the tour guide can drive tourists from one entrance to another to save some time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/42taME9sKqaZwzqK6\">Santa Maria de Guadalupe<\/a> &#8211; revered Catholic church &amp; pilgrimage site housing a cloak with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 3 &#8211; Polanco<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bosque de Chapultepec &#8211; beautiful &#8220;Central Park&#8221; of CDMX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/F2TSP4yEenJTMtRV7\">Chapultepec Castle<\/a> &#8211; a historic hilltop castle with views of CDMX and the National Museum of History.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/nMXHuHDRMUqSZFk18\">Anthropology Museum<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-end shopping \/ restaurants @ <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/43sYAjAByViy7rdX8\">Lincoln Park<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/o8T8KndAu35AczAL6\">Museo Soumaya<\/a> &#8211; great architecture and art museum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 4 &#8211; Day trip to <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/MBUDu5hKsAfhEq1L7\">Puebla<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A very nice way to spend a day in a beautiful city situated within 2 hour drive from CDMX.
